Scaling the Wall
August 21 - October 9, 2021
Scaling the Wall features the colorful, abstract work of Allison Paschke and Jacqueline Ott. The vast wall space at the Jamestown Arts Center present an opportunity for the artists to explore ambitious, component based possibilities. Smaller pieces placed throughout the gallery will amplify the shift in scale from very large to very small.
Spacing Out: Expanding the Field of Vision
July 2 - August 14, 2021
This exhibition unites art that blurs the boundary between two- and three- dimensions. Spacing Out contextualizes the work of contemporary artists who challenge the limitations of space among historical works that also play with dimensionality.

African Avant-Garde: Aboudia and Frédéric Bruly Bouabré
May 8 - June 26, 2021
Aboudia and Bouabré are the most significant and innovative artists that have come from the Ivory Coast, spanning six generations. While they come from different generational and educational backgrounds, Frédéric Bruly Bouabré, born in 1923, went through a formal training by the colonial government, and Aboudia, born in 1983, and grew up on the streets as a graffiti artist, both of their works carry a similarity: their global universal approach.
New Impressions

New Impressions is an exhibition focused on printmaking. It explores the idea of new methods in printmaking and expands the medium's definition.

Weaving Together
January 8 - March 13, 2021
Four organizations supporting artists with disabilities are weaving together to exhibit work at the Jamestown Arts Center in January 2021. Entwining fabric, yarn, paper, branches and more, the four groups including, Outsider Collective, Artists' Exchange, Flying Shuttles and Looking Upwards will encourage people from the community to not only view the works, but collaborate on multiple outdoor installations.
The Embrace
A mural with Guerra paint by artist Sun Quest is on view outside at the JAC through February.
Spacing Out(side)
Spacing Out(side) features the outdoor sculptures Vasanzio ‘Troy’ by Steve Buduo, Fear and Wonder of the Unknown by Sean Harrington, Lost to the Wind by Martin Keen and Spacing Out Together, a collaborative installation by the students at the Melrose School in Jamestown, RI and their art teacher Erica Connolly.
The Community Mural Wall
An Outdoor Rotating Art Space
The Community Mural Wall invites Jamestown residents and beyond to create something together as a community. Projects change on a regular basis. Materials and instructions are available onsite. Located behind the JAC on Douglas Street and available during daylight hours.
