Campers, ages 6-12, will spend each exciting day exploring ceramics, sculpture, drawing and printmaking activities across the three JAC studios. Throughout the day, campers will break off into small groups (arranged by age) to work with our fun and knowledgeable teachers. Camp will combine structured art projects and free-art making time, blending self-expression and interpretation with new techniques, important technical skills, and creative inspiration.
Weather permitting, we’ll take outdoor breaks at the Jamestown Community Playground across the street from our studios. In inclement weather, we’ll take indoor breaks with games and movement activities.
Please send your campers with refillable water bottles, two snacks and a lunch that does not need refrigeration or to be warmed up. Please use insulated bags with ice packs, if needed. For the safety of fellow campers with allergies, please do not bring nut-products to camp.
Please remember to have your camper wear old/non-precious clothing for a fun day of art-making.
Please let us know in advance if your child has any special needs.
Please fill out one registration per camper! Thank you!
JAC EDUCATION POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Scholarships available! Fill out an application here.
UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR POLICY
If a student’s instructor deems their behavior too disruptive, the student will be removed from class to sit with a JAC staff at the front desk for a period not exceeding twenty minutes, and parents will be notified that their child has been removed from class. Children who are removed from class more than once in a single day must be sent home with their parents. The student can return to the following class for a “probationary” period lasting the remainder of the session. If no further incidents occur they will be allowed to stay and finish class. If further incidents occur, the student’s parents will be notified to pick up their child and they will not be allowed to return. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
