ABOUT THE EXHIBITION:

Downtown Designs Studio & Gallery, Out of the Box Studio & Gallery and Sunlight Studios present the exhibition The Sun. Curator Annie deBethune selects the artwork and inspires the artists' process through interpretation of the universal symbol of the sun. Exploring the light and dark, micro and macro cosmism’s, The Sun exhibition follows the structure of tarot readings and interprets each artists’ stories. The three studios are exhibiting for the fourth time at the Jamestown Arts Center since 2017.

The rays of the sun are what we crave during the dark winter. It’s a ubiquitous universal ancient symbol. It represents fertility, sacredness as in the halo, yet the sun is capable of scorching the earth. The rays of the sun is what I crave and everything that it likes.
