Newport Gallery Night

Thursday, August 13th
3:00 – 7:00 pm

The Jamestown Arts Center Gallery will be open for extended hours in conjunction with Newport Gallery Night!
Special this week will be a Digital Arts Showcase, highlighting works generated through the JAC’s various digital arts classes, including work by current summer students, past years’ students, and JAC’s instructor and Jamestown native Teddy Trocki-Ryba. The video presentation will loop, allowing visitors to stop by at any point.
Works will be projected on the large screen at the back of the gallery.

The JAC galleries are also exhibiting “A Mythic Pause,” works by Molly Kaderka and Kit Howland — closing August 15th. See it before it closes!
Entrance to the galleries is through the rear Douglas Street entrance, and visitors are also encouraged to explore the labyrinth installation in the parking lot, as well as the “Art of Protest” pop-up exhibition in the front windows, the sculpture “Woman with Dove” on the JAC’s sculpture pad, and new 3D crosswalk street-art installation.

Admission to the JAC galleries is free.
All visitors are required to wear a face covering and practice social distancing while in our large, open-door gallery space.
Entrance will be limited to a maximum of 16 visitors at any one time.
