JAC Talk with James Payne

Wednesday, May 5, 7:30 - 8:30 pm

Watch the recorded program below!

James discusses his artistic process and progression from crafting tiny works from expired credit cards to designing, fabricating, and installing large works such as Isolation, which was part of the 2020 Outdoor Art Experience in Jamestown, RI.

About the Artist:

James Payne majored in art in college but then followed different paths, working in information technology, emergency medicine, and search and rescue. After a long hiatus, James started producing art in 2001, creating very small sculptures by cutting and bending credit cards rather than throwing them away. James has been creating increasingly larger pieces with Isolation comprising his largest construction to date.
