FREE
PLEASE REGISTER WITH DESIGNxRI

Clambake is a gathering for designers, creatives, and those who like design and want to know more.
It’s a time to get together, network, and hear about some of the cool new design work that is happening in RI.
Two presenters from two different design disciplines present each month.
Presentations are generally 15 minutes followed by Q&A.
No clams at the event (unless it’s August), just a great mix of design!
Since 2018, Clambake has been traveling around RI.

July Speakers:
Architect Shahin Barzin + Jonathan Glatt of O&G Studio

About Shahin Barzin
Shahin Barzin, AIA is the founder of S. Barzin Architect, an interdisciplinary architectural and
design firm based in Rhode Island.

Shahin has both a modernist and a preservationist sensibility—dedicated to exploring new building technologies, while respecting historical details. He’s also passionate about sustainable design, implementing geothermal, solar panels, and other innovations.

Currently, Shahin is the principal consulting architect for ALEX AND ANI, as well as the project architect for the restoration of Belcourt Mansion in Newport, for which he was awarded the Preserve Rhode Island Historic Preservation Project Award.

About Jonathan Glatt
Jonathan Glatt is an American designer living and working in Rhode Island, where he is the creative director of O&G Studio. In his early career, he interned and worked at Sotheby’s Auction House in the American Furniture department, where he honed his eye and gained his love of furniture, design evolution and craft. After 10 years practicing as a jeweler, designer and fabricator, Glatt returned to his love of furniture and co-founded O&G Studio in 2009. O&G’s work has been shown in the London Design Museum and has been featured in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, World of Interiors, Elle, Vogue, Dwell and other publications.

About O&G StudioO&G Studio designs and manufactures timeless American furniture, including the most evocative collection of modern Windsor chairs on the market. Based in Warren, R.I., the studio looks to early American designs for inspiration and brings these traditional motifs into the 21st century, while maintaining a strong foundation in craft and quality. Founded in 2009, O&G is currently lead by Creative Director and Co-Founder Jonathan Glatt, who oversees a team of 20 with a growing portfolio, which includes a full range of seating, tables, lighting, decorative accents and hardware across three distinct product lines: O&G Collection (a full range of made-to-order home furnishings, O&G Contract (a line specifically designed for commercial and hospitality applications) and O&G Traditional (proudly carrying on the Warren Chair Works legacy in keeping true to original American-Windsor typology)—all American made in O&G Studio’s signature style.  www.oandgstudio.com
